Knoville Tn Early Spring

When Knoxville Tn Flowers Start Blooming… So Do Florists

Florist in Knoxville, Lisa Foster Floral Design weighs in on early signs of spring. Though we have had a long winter these small signs of life have really been sweet to see. Any Knoxville commuter will tell you that the pops of yellow daffodils have been a refreshing sign that these chilly winter days are just about over.
The color yellow in both the daffodils and the forsythia bushes are just what Knoxvillians need! Yellow is such a wonderful color that can really help any gloomy mood. For a florist these little touches of yellow are encouraging, why? This means there are more flower colors to soon follow. We love to be surrounded by color (it's a florist thing!).
We have available fresh cut forsythia and daffodils to put in any fresh cut flower delivery for all Lisa Foster Floral Design customers. What better way to bring that small touch of early spring life from the outdoors to indoors. Send a birthday or anniversary arrangement with these small touches of yellow and it will not only be unique but well received. You will definitely brighten someones day with a fresh floral bouquet!

The Small Business Difference

Small Business Saturday, November 30

This Saturday is Small Business Saturday… which encourages consumers to shop local, shop small businesses in their own community. Ditch the chain stores and seek out the small boutiques and shops owned and operated by friends and neighbors.  Dollars spent in these places of business stay in local economies. It seems that this wave of shopping local has become very popular over the past few years. So the question we want to talk about is… WHY? From a small business point-of-view here are our thoughts as to why shopping small and local really makes the difference in the shopping experience.

Personalized Attention

Though we are a florist and not a larger boutique or gift shop we understand (maybe more than anyone) that each person who walks through our door wants something unique. Many people ask if we have arrangements pre-made for pick-up and the answer is 99.99% always NO. Why do we do this? We pride ourselves at being a customized floral shop… no cookie cutter ever at Lisa Foster Floral Design! We try to take the time to greet each person that walks in our door with a smile and friendly hello!

Free Gift Wrapping

During Christmas, any gifts purchased at Lisa Foster Floral Design can be wrapped for FREE! Save time and tape and let us make your packages pretty! If you have bought something elsewhere and want a professional wrapping job then bring them by and we will wrap them for you (for a small fee!).

We Care

Probably the most important aspect of small business Saturdays (and all business days!) for small businesses like us is our customers. If something is not right we will make it right! Our goal is to make our customers happy. We love having regular customers and meeting new faces everyday. The Lisa Foster Floral Design Team has laughed, cried and encouraged many of our costumers. Many of our customers are friends and we truly care about what they are going through… To our team it's not just a job it's a calling.

Small businesses depend on loyalty and the customers that remember to shop local!

From ALL of us at Lisa Foster Floral Design…

THANK YOU for shopping locally and supporting our business and our families!

Purple Wedding Flowers

Purple Is The New Pink

One of the most popular wedding colors for YEARS is purple. No matter the season, purple is a great color. It can stand alone or complement other colors very nicely. Recently, we have had some really beautiful purple combinations. Knoxville TN brides have made purple as popular and some would dare say more popular than pink. It's a good thing that Lisa Foster's favorite color is purple! Purple wedding flowers are really beautiful and thankfully many flowers come in the color... and not just in one shade but a few variations of purple! Some of our favorites are purple stock, purple lisianthus, purple statice, purple larkspur and purple alstroemeria lilies.

See if you can find some of these flowers in the bouquets below! We have some really great picture examples of different color combos involving purple. Purple on purple, purple with green, purple with yellow! Check out some of the photos and let us know your favorite purple color combination.

Things That Are Amazing

Flowers Are Amazing

Reflecting on Flowers and Their Beauty...

Every flower that grows is individual and unique which is one of the reasons we love working with them so much. The old saying, "Stop and smell the roses." Really if you break that saying down and really stop to smell the roses (or other flowers) it can make the world a better place. Looking at the color variations of petals, or down the throat of an orchid can truly brighten your day. It's amazing to see how much detail went into creating each variety of flower. Just like people each one is unique and different! Each one deserves the chance to be admired simply for themselves. Enjoy some shots of flowers close up!

Absolute love!
