Pink is Our Favorite Color!

2013 Wedding Color Trends

Trending Wedding Colors for East Tennessee Brides

There is no doubt that Pinterest has had a huge impact on the wedding business. Overall brides are more prepared on how they want their cake, wedding picture poses and wedding flowers. This trend does not seem to be fading anytime soon. In fact, Pinterest has bled over into Prom
This year the Lisa Foster Floral Design team has seen a few dominate color trends for the year 2013. The first is BLUSH, brides are gah gah over the blush colors. Pinks, peach, corals, ivory and white... and mix in a little soft greens. We've had a multitude of brides want the "soft romantic" look. Pinterest is full of ideas on how to use this color pallet for a wedding.

Garden Roses have been made popular by Martha Stewart, Pinterest and Other Bridal Magazines. Garden Roses are a great substitute for peonies because of their high petal count and size.

Teal/Aqua and Pink are a HOT color combination this year!

Each week we just fall in love with the bridal bouquets! They are the first and foremost theme setter for each wedding!

Knoxville Winter Weddings - Lisa Foster Floral Design

In honor of having a snow covered Knoxville. Lisa Foster Floral Design is taking this opportunity to share some recent winter wedding pictures. As a Knoxville florist we don't see many snowy weddings but we love it, when it hits! Many winter weddings usually have all white florals with touches of evergreen or other greens mixed in. What a perfect way to show off crisp wintery whites! This winter season has brought us some really lovely winter bouquets.

Traditional wedding florals usually involve whites and ivory flowers. When it comes to WINTERY wedding flowers there are a few things that can be added to take it over the top.
Winter Bridal Bouquet - Evergreens
Using evergreens really makes bouquets for winter weddings to a different level! Evergreens are beautiful, long-lasting, and smell fantastic. We've even used greens from our brides yards or family trees... it helps to add a touch of sentiment to the weddings.
December Wedding - Winter Bridesmaid Bouquet
We love the use of navy blue, gray and pops of green in these bouquets.
Baby's Breath Bouquets - Bridesmaids bouquets
Something that has been very popular this year has been the use of all baby's breath in bouquets. This inexpensive filler flower when used in abundance really looks elegant, soft and whimsical. This December wedding had all baby's breath for the bridesmaids. With the fur shrugs the Lisa Foster Floral Design team thought this was totally glam! We just love it!
Gray Berries - Dusty Miller - Winter Wedding
One trend in bridal bouquets and weddings in general is the color gray. Brides have been using this color as their bridesmaids dresses, table linens and suites for the men. It's a great neutral color and the sky is the limit for color combinations based off of gray. (gray and yellows, gray and pink, gray and green and navy...etc.)

With using all baby's breath for the bridesmaids this bride was able to splurge on her bouquet with adding anemones.
Blush Colored Bouquets - Winter Biltmore Wedding
We were fortunate enough to do a winter wedding at the Biltmore estate in December of 2012. It was a small intimate affair with close family and friends. What a magical place to get married! Knoxville winter weddings are wonderful. We love them and love our brides.
