Corsage Bar--Prom Flowers in Knoxville

As florists in Knoxville, the spring is one of Lisa Foster Floral Design's favorite times of the year!  First comes a spell of warm weather.  Then comes the yellow… Forsythia and daffodils.  Then come the allergies (but that's okay…  We get our allergy shots and take our Claritin).  Next comes PROM!  And boy are we excited about prom this year!  We have our "corsage bar" all set up and ready to go.  Our "corsage bar", or our "prom bar" consists of everything you could possibly need for your prom flowers.  Come on into our shop, and we will walk you through the corsage process, starting with the bracelet…

We have your old-school elastic bands, and we have a variety of stunning keepsake bracelets.

If you're not into the wrist corsage and you want something smaller, or just want something different, we have the perfect ring corsage for you!

Gold is in this year, and we have plenty of gold for your choosing!

Next,  we will have you pick out ribbon to go with the dress.  You can match the ribbon to the dress color, or you can go with a neutral color for a guaranteed match.

Then we will choose the flower.  The traditional flower that we suggest is a white spray rose.  White goes with just about any dress color.  We can also do spray roses in pinks and purples, if the order is placed in advance.  If you want to get a little more fancy with the flower, we can use orchids.  We can also use gerber daisies if you are looking to add some color in the flower.

The final touch is the "bling".  Add some flare to your corsage!  You can choose from our most popular diamond "bling," beaded "bling," and even feathers.

Guys have fewer decisions to make, but we can still dress up a boutonniere by wrapping the stem in wire.  Gold and silver wire wrap are our most popular.

And then you have the final product and a wonderful prom night!

Corsage with spray roses… If you like this look, ask for a longer, up-the-arm corsage

Gerber daisies are the perfect accessory for a fun evening!

We are looking forward to serving you this prom season!  Just come by our shop at 6622 Kingston Pike or give us a call at 865. 951. 0660 to place an order!!

Homecoming and Football

Homecoming Wristlets and Boutonnieres

It's football time in Tennessee! A few times per year the Lisa Foster Floral Design team gets the opportunity to help Knoxville high school students with their special occasion flowers. We always prepare what we call the "wristlet bar" in order for customers to easily pick their wristlet, ribbon and bling-bling without too much headache. There are a lot of colors to choose from so we can match most homecoming or prom dresses.
Each year the trends tend to change and the introduction of Pinterest has helped girls really know what they are looking for. It keeps florists on their toes and up-to-date with what is popular with girls! The 2012/2013 school year brought girls who wanted feathers, beads and big bows. We can only imagine what the trends this year will be. One thing is for certain Knoxville high school student will want style and Lisa Foster Floral Design will be here to make it happen!

Boutonnieres

Boutonnieres, Too Much or Just Right?

Knoxville TN, Florist - Lisa Foster Floral Design

Boutonnieres Love Them Or Leave Them Out...

Boutonnieres are one of those wedding details that some love and others love to hate. If done right can add such wonderful detail to photos. Many times they are just an afterthought, a fast add-on that doesn't steal the show (like the bridal bouquet). However, there are times when the boutonnieres are just awesome!
Did you know, that there are boutonniere does and do nots? For example... If you are not planning on having a jacket with a lapel than there is no need for a boutonniere! Yes, boutonnieres are meant for  lapels, otherwise they are not needed!

Also, if you plan to do a boutonniere than there is no need for a pocket square! If you have a pocket square there is no need for a boutonniere!

Another great thing to keep in mind is that greenery goes on the back, not in front! Many times we see wedding pictures with the greenery on the front instead of the back!

What is your opinion? Boutonnieres, yay or nay? Check out some of Lisa Foster Floral Design's past boutonnieres and leave your comments below.
