Knoxville Weddings - Flower Girls - Ring Bearers

Flower Girls and Ring Bearers

Options for Flower Girls and Boutonnieres for Ring Bearers.

Examples of Knoxville Tn Weddings and flowers used for flower girls and ring bearers.

When it comes to weddings, Knoxville TN brides have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to what their flower girls can carry. Some venues do not allow the use of real flower petals and instead of going with silk flowers some brides opt to have their girls carry flowers. Kissing balls, small hand-tied bouquets even flower and greenery garland offer girls something unique. We LOVE getting pictures of the weddings we do, especially pictures of the flower girls and ring bearers. They are just so darn cute!
Flower girl halos are very popular and transform little sweethearts into little angels!
These flower girls were from our Biltmore Estate wedding,
they had one of everything halo, hand-tied, kissing ball and petals!
Kissing balls can be made of many types of flowers, mainly we use carnations but mums, roses and daisies are all used as well.

We love the hand-tied bouquet look for little girls!

Depending on the age of the ring bearer boutonnieres are cute on little boys!
Ring bearers usually do well with boutonnieres as long as they are old enough. A ring bearer younger than 4 years of age tends to destroy boutonnieres (although every child is different). Then again some groomsmen tend to destroy boutonnieres and they are old enough to know better!
Hair clip flowers
Flowers on hair clips or headbands can add a little special touch to flower girls hair. The girls usually love having flowers in their hair. It makes them feel like little princesses.
There are a lot of options when it comes to halo flowers.

Who can resist a precious little flower girl tossing petals at a wedding. It's just too cute.

Prom Flowers - Knoxville TN

Prom Time in Knoxville

Its time to start thinking PROM!

Knoxville TN, is a town where prom girls know what they want! We usually set up what we refer to as the "Prom Bar" at our flower shop. This Prom Bar consists of all of our ribbons, wristlets and bling displayed for girls to pick out exactly what they want. The girls bring in their dresses and we help them pick out the perfect flowers, ribbon and bling to match their overall prom look! It is a lot of fun and some of the girls get really creative with their wristlets. The best part is that the flowers are on bracelets and the girls can keep them after the dance!

Prom 2012 was great for Lisa Foster Floral Design since we had some of our prom girls send us pictures! We usually just get wedding photos, so when we got these prom pictures we were so excited. If you have pictures from prom of our work PLEASE send them our way! (lisa@lisafosterdesign.com

Lisa Foster Floral Design can add just about any kind of bling to wristlets. Its great to mix it up and do wire, jewels or even feathers! We've done just about anything so Knoxville girls don't have to be stuck with the same old prom wristlet (JUST SAY NO TO CARNATIONS). Wrap the boutonniere in wire to match the wristlet.

White dendrobium orchids make excellent wristlets and boutonnieres! They last a long time and are different from typical roses.  Spray roses are the standard go-to flower for wristlets, they hold up well and come in a lot of different colors.

We look forward to being a part of the 2013 Prom season! If you know someone going to prom please send them our way. To place orders or to get more information please call our studio 865-951-0660 and ask for a designer!

Knoxville Weddings - Spring Brides

Knoxville Tennessee - Spring Weddings

Reflecting On Past Lisa Foster Floral Design Spring Weddings

Gearing up for spring weddings has caused us to reflect on some of our favorites from years past. As florists in Knoxville, we tend to drool at the thought of peonies, dogwood trees in bloom, tulips and irises. Knoxville is about to explode with beautiful colors, flowers and fresh green grass! Though our abundance of trees can cause our cars to turn yellow and our allergies to act up we really live in a beautiful city.
April really kicks off our wedding season with outdoor weddings and receptions.
One of our all time favorite weddings was in April 2012. Ann Bryant was married at a primitive baptist church in Cade's Cove. Nestled in the Smoky Mountains this picturesque setting is perfect for any southern bride.

BIG Thank you To Dixie Pixel for these images!
Another of our Springtime brides that can't go without mention is Jessica Whittaker! We love her mixed-matched bridesmaids dresses and her beautiful peony bouquet!

Stepping back even further let us show off our MOST expensive bridal bouquet... of all time! It happened by accident but just let this serve as a FYI lady slipper orchids are very, very expensive. What a beautiful bride and beautiful bouquet, it doesn't get much better than classic white and crisp greens!

It's hard to believe almost two years has pasted since our friend Julie Roberts was married. She is one-of-a-kind and her wedding was an excellent reflection of that unique sweet personality! Julie spent hours, and hours hand-making bud vases for her centerpieces. Not only is she a talented photographer but she is all around awesome!

If you asked any of the florists in Knoxville, I'm sure they would say that spring weddings open the door for a multitude of floral possibilities.  We can't WAIT to see photos of the 2013 spring wedding season! Bring it on photog friends!
